All Suncom customers can keep their phones as the two companies become integrated with each other. So that also means your sim cards will work as well.

DONT WORRY most retail stores have sim card copiers, so you wont loose your contacts if you do have to exchange for a T Mobile sim. 

 

TIP : Ive Personally expierneced a merger when AT&T went to Cingular, this is the time you stock up on cell phones ladies and gents . Its hard for both systems to tell you when you did a upgrade last , and also there will probably be small incentives to switch your Suncom unit for a T Mobile unit. Same thing with rate plans. SO STOCK UP WITH SUNCOM, THEN GO TO A TMOBILE STORE AND DO IT THERE!!!!

 

The merger is actually better for all Suncom customer because T-Mobile will help increase the speed of all the data for Suncom exisiting customers.
